Apartments near Bled Lake Slovenia

We decided to visit Slovenia this summer. I read many reviews in internet how beautifull this country, especially Blad lake area.
I found relative cheap place to rent apartment near Bled lake – it’s only 5 minute walk to the lake.
Owner of the place answered on all my question patiently and promised to cuch us from airport to his place for 50 Euro.
Price for 4 people for week is 624 Euro.
We’ll have apartments with 2 separate bedrooms, kitchen and bathroom.
In each bedroom there is a TV and an internet connection but I’m in doubt if I want to open my laptop on vacation;-)

Make sure your travelling is efficient – preparation is the key!

You love outdoor activities and that’s great! But preparing for your next trip away, there are numerous things you need to consider to make sure your trip goes smoothly. Whether it is outdoor clothing, supplies, maps or even a mobile phone with full battery, be careful not to overlook anything on your next trip. You will find some quick tips in this article to help you with your planning for the next holiday.

Firstly, dont forget your clothing – Whether it is a hiking trip you are going on and you need your Berghaus jackets, or a beach holiday and you need your favourite pair of shorts, always remember to pack the correct clothing for the ocassion. Not only will it make sure you dont need to spend a fortune whilst you are away, you can also avoid the stress of being under or over dressed!

Make sure you have all your documents – There is nothing worse on your holidays than the feeling of forgetting something when it is too late. Before you pack your bags, make sure you lay out all of your documents, tickets and Visa’s where neccesary to avoid any mixup. You could find yourself in a lot of trouble or with a large bill if you forget something important.

Dont forget your foreign currency – Be sure to check for online foreign exchange rates before you head off as you will be stung in the airports if not! The rates offered by Foreign exchange cashiers are often way below market rates at airports, so you could be loosing out on a fair bit of spending money…!

I hope you all enjoy your next holiday and Whatever you do, dont forget your passport!!

Barcelona 2010

You probably are still planning and planning where to go but I do such things fast! You will hardly believe but just few days ago I decided to visit the place I’ve dreamt about long time trough and now – I rush! So, Sunday morning, yes, just next Sunday morning I’ll get there – one of the nicest cities in the world, Barcelona!

I want to be absorbed in its amazing museums, theatres, art galleries and nightlife that, I’m sure, are impressive and marvelous. No doubt the art and design of this city has a lot of interesting sights to offer to such happy visitors like me.

There are many places I would like to be in Barcelona, for instance ‘Las Ramblas’, a pedestrian street with dozens of outdoor cafes, I want to go by, to stroll or simply relax but not only, of course! Because this street is full of an endlessly fascinating flowing receptacle of pageant-jugglers, singers, dancers, puppeteers, sidewalk artists, living statues and assorted oddballs on parade. Nearby is ‘Plaça Real’, with plenty of bars and restaurants, and ‘Palau Guell’, built by the Catalan architectural genius Antoni Gaudí in his undulating art-nouveau style. While in Las Ramblas and Placa Real, be very aware of pickpockets, too. I want to spend next week with a splendid kaif!

By the way, what about Eyjafjallajökull, this terrible Iceland volcano? Scientists say that now it appears to be dormant. At the moment it is quiet, gooood boy!:-)

Rain Vacation in Edinburgh

Yes, I’ve started to plan my next vacation. What do I want the most? I want to go somewhere to interesting raining places, with a beautiful nature and civilized towns where I would rest and enjoy by myself. I remember my tour to Edinburgh 2 years ago where I got all what I love. If you like rainy weather like I do Edinburgh is a splendid place to spend your summer vacation. There are many historical and interesting points to visit there. And one of them is Edinburgh castle, of course. By the way, Edinburgh Castle is visited annually by approximately one million people – that is more than other ancient monument in the United Kingdom.

It looks especial darkly in rainy day. But rain is not something that can stop us, tourists;-) Edinburgh Castle is simply magnificent. It occupies the summit of an ancient plug of volcanic rock towering 260ft or 80m above the city it dominates, and is visible for tens and pop up tents of miles in every direction.

No fairytale castle, this is the real thing, an uncompromisingly defensive structure that seems to grow organically out of the living rock beneath it. Over the centuries Edinburgh Castle has been continuously adapted to meet the military needs of the day. And over the centuries its strength has been tested on no fewer than thirteen occasions, successfully or unsuccessfully, by siege or by stealth.

Austrian Flight Disruptions and Cancellations due to Volcanic Activity In Iceland

The volcanic eruption in Iceland has caused numerous flights to be cancelled. In parts of Europe, flight traffic has even ceased to function entirely, and flights of Austrian Airlines to northern Europe are also affected.

At the moment it is impossible to foresee how long we can expect to be dealing with disturbances to flight traffic. Austrian Airlines is reacting rapidly to further developments, and is in constant contact with the responsible air traffic authorities, ministries, meteorological departments and airports.

Airlines expect to resume normal operations Saturday morning.

You may check the current status of your flight.

Finland summer vacation

If summer in my country is too hot it’s not bad idea to leave it for Finland for a wile. I’ve not checked for a Finland’s culture program yet but I’m sure exactly I’ll find amazing nature there. I’m also interested in cheap prices then I’m still in search about it.

Well, as usually I start to plan my trip from the online surfing for helpful sites. Now I’ve found perfect source that probably can help all those who are going to visit Finland next summer http://www.visitfinland.com/en/web/guest/finland-guide/home. All I’ve seen there look very attractive for traveler like me. It’s just an informative travel guide to Finland, featuring up-to-date information on attractions, hotels, restaurants, nightlife, travel tips and more I have to learn. There is Finland weather info there that is very important as well.

Another site is http://www.vuokatti.finfun.fi/SearchResults.action?newLocale=en_EN&siteName=ffvuokatti offering a wide choice of zimmers in different areas of the country for 2-8 people. I would like to pick up the place that would be not expensive and beautiful at the same time. Ideally it must be a cozy zimmer, surrounded by nice nature where I can get with a train or bus.

More ideas?
